What This Never Influences

Commissions never influence which products we recommend or how we rank them. A cheaper product that's the better pick gets recommended as the better pick, full stop. See our review methodology for exactly how picks are decided. We don't check commission rates before writing a recommendation, and we don't swap a pick because a different product pays better.

What We Don't Do

• No sponsored placements. No brand pays to be included in a roundup or ranked higher.
• No paid reviews. We don't accept payment, free product, or any other consideration in exchange for a positive review.
• No gear-brand relationships. RiggingOps has no ownership, advisory, or promotional relationship with any recovery gear manufacturer.

How Links Are Marked

Every page containing affiliate links carries a short disclosure near the top, above the first affiliate link, linking back to this page. Affiliate links themselves are marked with rel="sponsored", per Google's guidance for paid and affiliate links, and open in a new tab. We don't use cloaked or shortened redirect links: Amazon Associates' terms of service prohibit that, and tagged Amazon links are used directly.

Other Revenue
